The Latin American Symposium on Polymers (SLAP) — which often hosts the Ibero-American Congress on Polymers (CIP) — is one of the most prominent scientific events in Latin and Ibero-America dedicated to the field of polymers. The symposium aims to foster engaging discussions on cutting-edge topics in polymer science, technology, and innovation.
Held biennially since 1988, SLAP brings together researchers, students, and professionals from academia and industry. Over the years, it has built a strong tradition of scientific excellence, knowledge exchange, and regional collaboration. Each edition is hosted in a different country, reflecting the diversity and vitality of the polymer research community throughout Ibero-America.
